Forts: - concept done - beta will be updated next week, building(!) forts will be available - forts (including fights) are planned for end of June (world1.de) - products necessary - money of town's treasury will be used to build and attack forts ... - some fancy weapons will be available at shops in forts ... - ranking: construction points of owned forts will be added to the town's points

| Right now we have no information on how forts will be build or work. Thus we have only basic planning. When forts will be implemented in Beta I will know more and then we will have enough time for detailed planning. As of collecting items - I believe many of our members are collecting them by not selling when they get. There is no special gathering of materials as we dont know anything on what we need and how much we need. Plus its better to level util forts (making characters stronger) and not spend time and energy for collecting materials we even might not need.
In general Miestas town that has most experienced duelers will take one fort in our sector. Those Miestas towns that are on borders with other sectors are expected to take forts in other sectors. Or if it will be the best for Miestas - one town will build forts and other towns will help in defence or attacks.

| Here is whats written about update 1.20:
Now, here is the promised change log:
- Forts have been integrated. You can construct forts when you fulfill the requirements needed (Town's Counselor, town size, sufficient funds in town's treasury) - Spots where forts may be constructed are shown as gray marks on the minimap. Your own forts are marked in blue, other forts in red. - It is possible to construct buildings in your fort. For most of the buildings the construction costs products earned during jobs. Each level and the construction itself costs resources. - The fort has a resource stock to store the products needed for the construction of buildings. - Right now it is not possible to take resources out of the resource stock. - Only job products are storable (no quest products).
- Because of this change all towns will be revised. Please keep on building within your towns and keep testing everything you can do there.
- Performance inhancing changes in the inventory.
- A new weapon slot is available. Guns are only used during the battles for forts and do not have any effect during duels. - They can be purchased at the gunsmiths. Guns are also added at the already existing gunsmiths!
- The ranking is now sorted by not, not alphabetical anymore
- The report button doesn't flicker anymore.
- Players do not start outside of the map anymore
- Popups on the map for towns, forts, questgivers and jobs - General terms and conditions on the front page - It is now possible to show and hide all features on the minimap - Speed is now shown in mph
Over the next few days more things will be added to this changelog. A help section for forts will also come shortly.
Fort battles will follow in the next weeks. | |

| Some items is difficult to get because don't have enough labor point (for me). For example, iron, bell, rounds, whiskey, confederate flag, oil, post horn.
So, i think who can get these items, better try to get as much as possible. And other items, like wood and barbed wire seem need a lot. | |

| There are 3 spots in each sector for forts - one spot for each kind (small, medium, large). Forts are founded like towns in a place where it is designated.
When forts will appear - we will be doing large fort first as it will give us most benefits, plus it usually is in about a middle of sector.
As i'm able to do most of the jobs (except for oil and bell) - i'll gather rounds and whiskey.
Here is some more info from developers: "First for the town members of forts: There are no limitations on being member of forts or owning forts. A battle can however only declared if the declarer is not associated with that particular fort. For example, If fort X is ruled by A and B but A does also own fort Y which is not shared with B, B can attack Y but it won't be able to attack X since it is a member of that fort. There are no alliances or diplomatic relationships - only the fort owning and sharing matters and that's just simple "list" management.
The big forts are going to have different battle maps, but that is currently not worked out and the initial fortbattles will have all the same battle map layout. However, this is going to change when the battles are established and are working (technically). Smaller forts are going to be easier to be defended by smaller number of players while larger forts are going to need more defenders for an efficient defense. In turn, the attackers can more easily outnumber defenders of small forts compared to large forts. Fortbuildings are then also going to influencing how the battle maps are going to be layouted, but this feature is also going to be worked on after the beta release. I am not aware of other differences than that of the forts." | |

| Tomorrow morning World 1 will be updated to version 1.20. The rest of the worlds will most likely be updated next Tuesday.
After the update it will be possible to construct forts and take part in fort battles.
Forts: Every sector now has three spots to build forts. They can be built by a town's councilors. Several buildings can be constructed in the fort, each of them giving different advantages. Constructing buildings in a fort requires products, like wood, iron and stone.
Fort battles: It is possible to try and take over the fort of another town in a big fort battle. Such a battle can be declared by a town's councilor. The fight begins 24 hours later, and the town's members should go to the fort in time to help attacking or defending the fort. The defenders have to hold the fort for 100 battle rounds, or defeat the attackers. The attackers have to take over the fort's flag that is located right in the middle of the fort and have to hold it for 10 rounds, or they have to defeat all defenders. If the attackers win, the attacking town takes over the fort.
There are still a few things that do not work as intended but are being worked on: So far no experience points are gained in fort battles and no items are found Constructing towers, gates and walls has no effect yet The store cannot be constructed yet

Guns: A new weapon class is now available. Guns can be bought at the gunsmith and will be added to the already constructed gunsmiths. During fort battles only guns are used, dueling weapons have no effect. If you don't have a gun while taking part in a battle, you will use rocks that are lying on the ground. Dueling weapons are exclusively used in duels, guns just in fort battles. The easy way to differentiate between the two is: Guns are equipped in the slot to the right of the clothing slot, dueling weapons are equipped in the slot to the left.
Other changes: The background and the towns can be hidden on the mini map The ranking is now not sorted by name anymore, but by the date the town was finished. Shortly there will be another change that will take fort points into consideration The job "Constructing a fort" has been changed to "Constructing a manor house" to prevent confusion. The job's settings were not changed The travel speed is now shown in mph. With that we make it clearer to show if a percent bonus is relative or absolute New screen-shots have been created for the front page Health points, experience points and energy are now also displayed with numbers Dollar amounts are not shown in the Saloon anymore so that spies are less valuable
The forts are a very new feature. They are very complex and are still being tweaked. Please understand that over time we will have to change calculations and settings to create a good game balance.
